Things You'll Need:
-
1 small tube of E-6000 glue

-
Aanraku bails
-
Sharpe scissors or exacto knife
-
Diamond Glaze
-
Mod Podge
-
Greaseproof paper
-
Cord, ball chain or ribbon to hang your pendant
-
Your choice of glass shapes
-
Your favorite wall paper, vintage magazines, scrapbooking, catalog, designs, consider old books or even family photos
For the use of this tutorial we are going to make a rectangle pendant but the steps are the same for all shapes
1. Rinse your glass tiles in warm soapy water and dry with a soft cloth
2. Choose your art paper
3. Lay the glass on top of the art paper and cut around using the glass as your template, or you can trace around the glass with a pencil and cut it out, Repeat this step twice. Dont trust yourself with a knife, use a sharp pair of scissors instead.

4. Glue the back of the paper rectangles together so the design shows on either side, place something heavy such as a book on top of it while the glue is drying it prevents the edges from turning up
5. Once dry apply the tile glaze to the back of the tile, (the rough surface) I use my glaze directly from the bottle but you may want to use a flat craft paint brush. Place the art paper onto the back of the tile moving it a little so the glaze speads, and press firmly making sure the edges are sticking.
6. Place on grease proof paper to prevent the tile from sticking to your work surface
7. Allow to dry, Your pendant should look like the picture on the right

8. Glue your necklace bail to the wrong side of the glass tile with E-6000
If your making magnets glue them to the center of the back of the glass tile
9. Allow to dry
10. Taking the glass glaze run a thin bead of glaze around the edges and
then filling in the middle of the tile, use enough glaze so that it looks a Puddle
11. Allow to dry for 48 hours before wearing or using the magnets
OKAY...so maybe it didn't turn out exactly as you hoped for on your first try, the great thing is you can start over, just soak your pendant in hot water with dish detergent it works great until the paper ang glaze lift off, about 30 minutes and start over, after doing a few you find your own technique of making glass tile jewelry
